Shopping for Baby

I’m having some trouble finding unisex baby clothing.  We'll at least need some newborn clothes when the baby arrives and I’d ideally like to have a few outfits but everything is either boy or girl oriented.  I found a gift set made by Garanimals but it’s only sold at Walmart.  Joe and I went to see if we could find it but didn’t have any luck.  Then we went to Target.  I had purchased a Graco Pace stroller so we could get a feel for how much space we need in the car for everything and Joe wanted to check out a few other options before we opened and assembled it.  We looked at all the strollers in Target and determined that Graco is a pretty good brand.  I think the one I picked will be okay.  Then we went through all the baby item isles and looked at different clothes, toys and necessities.  There were so many cute things.  Joe found a Baby Einstein piano that he liked and decided to buy it.  He can’t wait to play with it with the baby.  We took a selfie picture of us since it was our first time together shopping for baby items.  It was pretty funny, Joe kept gearing toward Ninja Turtle and Star Wars themed items and I kept looking at Disney princess and cute animal items.

We had lunch at the nearby Chili’s and then went to Lake Balboa Park.  I had asked him if he would take a couple of pictures of me at my 20 week halfway mark.  I haven’t really posted anything about my pregnancy on Facebook but decided I wanted to do a status update at 20 weeks after our appointment on Wednesday.  I think it’s worth celebrating.  He always takes really nice pictures of me so I wanted him to take some that I could share with my friends.  I know I've been looking kind of worn these days and I contemplated wearing make up for the pictures but ultimately I decided that I just wanted to be my natural self and show what I really look like (I never wear make up normally).  I think down the road it'll be a nice self-reflection.
