Today Joe and I
had a date night where we went to dinner and a show. We went to try a new seafood restaurant that opened up near
us called The Drunken Crab. They
sell seafood by the pound in a bag filled with a seasoning sauce of your
choice. We got snow crab legs in
garlic butter sauce and shrimp in their special house sauce. Both were really delicious although
messy as you can imagine. We also
got a side of sweet potatoes fries.
Now that we’re expectant parents we always notice people with kids and babies
everywhere we go. There was a
couple there with a baby in a high chair and of course we imagined that being
us in the near future.
Afterward we
went to The Aerial Classroom’s production of Snow White. My old aerial school puts on some
really great performances. I had
caught their Sleeping Beauty show two years ago and loved it! It’s a fairy tale love story with an
aerial twist. They use the
different apparatuses to convey emotions.
This one had a flaming cube, lyra, Spanish web, bungee cords and double
trapeze and double tissu routines.
All pretty cool. And it was
nice to see my old teachers and classmates and catch up with them. They haven’t seen me with my baby
bump. It also reminded me of how
much I miss class but it’ll still be a while before I can go back.
