Wreath Decorating

Well, we went back to Galpin Honda to pick up the car and they suddenly upped the price.  Joe asked the salesman yesterday when he called three times if our final offer was all in to drive off the lot and he said yes so we both got pretty peeved that he was now trying to trick us into paying more money.  He said his manager didn’t want to pay registration fees.  Then he went on about how they were losing money on the deal.  Honestly, I don’t care about their bottom line or what they want.  We were promised an agreed upon price and now they are reneging on the offer.  If they couldn’t sell us the car at our final offer they shouldn’t have called us back and said yes.  Joe got mad so we just got up and left.  We didn’t want to do deals with shady people who were trying to swindle us.  As we were walking to our car the salesman and his manager chased after us.  The manager swore it was a mistake and we weren’t supposed to see that other price and we could have it for the agreed upon price.  We were in our car and he was hanging on our window trying to prevent us from leaving.  Joe got really mad and told him he’s a liar and we aren’t going to be giving them any money after they tried to trick us.  We drove off and they tried to contact Joe three times but he ignored their calls.  We’re done with them.  We’ll find another car elsewhere.

At home Joe’s niece came over and we decorated Christmas Wreaths.  I got a bunch of ribbon from Joann Fabrics and some bells and ornaments from Target.  I realized later I should have just gotten all the ribbon from Target instead since Joann’s charged a lot for the ribbon I bought and there wasn’t very much of it on the spool at all.  Target had a bunch of ribbon for much cheaper.  I also got some fake flowers to embellish with.  We decorated our wreaths which was pretty fun.  I think I have a tendency to go overboard.  My crafts always end up looking like a present exploded since I want to use everything available.  I liked how Joe’s niece’s turned out a lot more than mine.

We made a carrot ginger soup from scratch as an appetizer and then made pan seared chicken, roasted potatoes and sautéed zucchini for dinner.  She said she didn’t know how to cook so we made everything together and taught her safe knife skills.  It was a really fun family activity.  Oddly enough she literally just bought a min-cooper yesterday.  I guess everybody goes car shopping at the end of the year.
