This morning I
felt kicking in a new position.
Way off to my right side. I
think the baby moved position from sitting upright and kicking me in my cervix
to sideways and kicking me on the right.
I read that they can change position all the way up until birth. Even though the baby moves everyday and I feel it moving everyday it’s
still so new and interesting when I feel different types of movement. It’s never really kicked me that far to
the side before and I still have to get used to the feeling. The baby is pretty strong. Joe and I were laying on the couch
together last night and he felt the baby kicking for a good five minutes. It was pretty strong, the strongest
he’d ever felt.
Joe and I
actually have different approaches to talking about the baby. It’s kind of interesting. I refer to future tense such as “when
the baby gets here.” We’ve been
talking about our living space and the nursery and what we’d like to do with it
all. I said, “When the baby gets
here, we’ll have to move that so I can put the Pack n Play there.” And he said, “What do you mean when the
baby gets here? It’s already
here. It’s on the couch with you
right now.” He’ll also mention how
there’s three of us sitting on the couch or there’s three of us laying in
bed. I think it’s really sweet.
