Pedicure at the Mall

I went to the mall today to get a pedicure.  They just opened a Nail Garden there which is my favorite nail place.  I used to always go to the one in Studio City but I didn’t feel like driving there now that there’s was one right down the street from me.  I was in need of a pedicure.  I don’t really want to go to the hospital with ugly unkempt feet.  I actually think pedicures are a necessity and have one about three to four times a year.  Foot grooming is important and it’s a nice pampering treat.  While at the mall I got a cheesesteak for lunch.  Something else I’d been craving.  I went to my favorite cupcake shop, Velvet Cupcakes but became so disappointed to learn that they changed their recipe.  My favorite cupcake in the world was their chocolate peanut butter.  They had this peanut chocolate crumble stuff on top of the frosting which added a nice crunchy texture that I loved.  Now they changed it to put pieces of peanut butter cups on top.  I actually really don’t like peanut butter cups at all.  The cupcakes there are usually super moist and made fresh daily but this one tasted a day or two old.  Plus, they are putting all these stupid designs on top of their cupcakes, just piling crap on top of them (like cereal and cookies and candy) trying to make them look cute when it just makes them look like a jumbled mess.  I’m very disappointed.  They were prefect the way they were plus they started selling Lette Macaroons as well.  Two of my most favorite sweet treats in one place.  Now it seems they’re more concerned with making them look cute than taste good.  And I don’t even think putting cereal on top of a cupcake makes it appealing at all.  I did walk around the mall a bit for exercise and picked up another LUSH dragon egg bath bomb before leaving.  I’m going to save it for a relaxing bath sometime after I have the baby.  I’m now addicted to the dragon egg bath bombs but since they’re so expensive I’m treating them like a luxury, similar to getting a pedicure, restricting myself to maybe three a year.
