The nursery has
actually been ready for a little while now but I didn’t get around to taking
any pictures of it until recently.
After the baby shower, I completed my baby registry to get all the
things we’ll need for the baby and finished organizing everything. I also got three storage bins from
Target that are under the crib to keep the extra blankets, sheets, diapers,
wipes, toys, etc. I used the
Babyganics dish and bottle soap to wash all the baby toys and pacifiers and
anything it might put in its mouth.
I also cleared out a kitchen cabinet for the baby food making supplies
and bottles, plus the one can of emergency formula just in case there’s any
problem with breastfeeding. We
have a month’s supply of diapers and wipes. I got the Storkcraft Turin 3 piece nursery set from Target
that included a crib, dresser and changing table. The only problem was that while putting together the dresser
some of the wood split while we were drilling the bits in. I guess that just happens when you get
cheap furniture. I wanted to do
the baby’s room in turtles because I wanted to do something gender neutral and
I really love turtles. Although
technically it is gender neutral I guess it looks like it may be geared slightly
more toward a boy. I got the CoCaLo
Turtle Reef 9 piece crib bedding set plus the wall art hangings and decal
stickers. The set came with a
sheet, crib skirt, quilt, 3 fabric wall hangings, diaper stacker, crib bumper
and window valance (I didn’t end up using the valance). It was actually a little pricey for
what you get but oh so cute. I
actually think the line has been discontinued by the manufacturer so maybe
that’s why it was on the pricier side.
They have a bunch of other stuff that they sell separately as part of
the line like a lamp, crib mobile, hamper, rug, pillow, night light cover, etc.
but I didn’t need all that. I
actually didn’t like the crib mobile that was part of the set so I got the NoJo
Little Bedding Ocean Dreams mobile off Amazon instead. I think it matches perfectly and is so
much cuter and so much cheaper.
