Dog Park

Today I went with my friend to the dog park.  She has two cute little dogs and invited me along.  I was glad to get out of the house and see all the dogs there.  All friendly and cute.  I really like dogs but I don’t want to take care of and clean up after one.  I’ll have enough responsibility with the baby.  I always said if I was going to devote so much time and care into something, I’d rather just have a baby.  I think maybe someday if we ever have a house with the yard and the kids are old enough to want a dog we’ll probably get one.  But that’s in the future.  When it comes to dogs I’m kind of like people who want to remain child free but like kids.  They enjoy playing and spending time with their friends and family’s kids but are glad they get to leave when the fun part is over.  Like having all the fun benefits of being around kids without having to worry about the responsibility.  That’s pretty much how I feel about dogs at this stage of my life.  Plus, I live in an apartment and definitely don’t want to constantly be cleaning up dog hair.  But I do really like dogs so going to the dog park was really fun.
